SB 1.15.38

स्वराट्पौत्रं विनयिनमात्मनः सुसमं गुणैः ।
तोयनीव्याः पतिं भूमेरभ्यषिञ्चद्गजाह्वये ॥ ३८ ॥
sva-rāṭ pautraṁ vinayinam ātmanaḥ susamaṁ guṇaiḥ
toya-nīvyāḥ patiṁ bhūmer abhyaṣiñcad gajāhvaye

Synonyms

gajāhvaye — in the capital of Hastināpura; sva-rāṭ — the emperor [Yudhiṣṭhira (cakravartī yudhiṣṭhiraḥ)220]; abhyaṣiñcat — enthroned; pautram — his grandson [Parīkṣit]; vinayinam — [who was] modest in conduct [vinayo namratā tad-vān vinayī tam221]; su-samam — [and] perfectly equal [ati-sadṛśam222]; ātmanaḥ — to his own self [svasya]; guṇaiḥ — with [i.e., in] virtues; patim — [as] the sovereign [patitvena]; bhūmeḥ — of the land; toya-nīvyāḥ — bordered by the sea [lit., “of the land whose distinctive waistband was itself the all-embracing sea” (toyaṁ sarvataḥ sthitaṁ samudrodakam eva nīvi paridhāna-viśeṣo yasyās tasyā bhūmeḥ)].

Translation

In the capital of Hastināpura, the emperor [Yudhiṣṭhira] enthroned his grandson [Parīkṣit], who was modest in conduct and perfectly equal to his own self in virtues, as the sovereign of the land bordered by the sea.
