Translation
O Emperor, being bereft of my dearest friend and well-wisher, the Supreme Person, I, the same one [who was formerly celebrated in the world as a great warrior endowed with all qualities] am now empty to the very core of my heart. As such, O King, I was conquered—like a frail young girl—by a band of lowly cowherds along the road, while escorting Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s retinue of sixteen thousand queens.
