Translation

With Him [Śrī Kṛṣṇa] as my friend, I alone on chariot crossed over the limitless ocean of the Kuru’s military might, teeming with invincible sea creatures [such as Bhīṣma, who is compared to the monstrous timiṅgila whale]. Again, it was by virtue of His friendship that I was able to recover the vast wealth of cows captured by them in the kingdom of Virāṭa and strip from the heads of our enemies the turbans that represented the seat of their power, bedecked with jeweled crowns.
