SB 1.12.23
आश्रयः सर्वभूतानां यथा देवो रमाश्रयः ॥ २३ ॥
āśrayaḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ yathā devo ramāśrayaḥ
Synonyms
sāmye — in equanimity [in being equally disposed to all beings (sarva-bhūta-samatve)60]; [he will be (eṣaḥ bhaviṣyati)]; samaḥ — like [tulyaḥ]; pitāmaha — Brahmā; prasāde — in beneficence [anugrahe]; upamaḥ — like [tulyaḥ]; giriśa — Śiva [Mahādeva]; āśrayaḥ — [and as] a source of shelter; sarva — [for] all; bhūtānām — living beings; yathā — like; devaḥ — Deva [Bhagavān]; ramā-āśrayaḥ — Viṣṇu [the abode of Śrī (śrī-nivāsaḥ), who is competent to shelter all beings by virtue of His being the very source of their sustenance (pālakatvād yathā sarva-bhūtānām āśrayaḥ āśrayituṁ yogyas tathā)].
Translation
In equanimity, he will be like Brahmā, in beneficence, like Śiva, and as a source of shelter for all living beings, like Bhagavān Viṣṇu, the abode of Śrī.
