तस्मान्नाम्ना विष्णुरात इति लोके भविष्यति ।
न सन्देहो महाभाग महाभागवतो महान् ॥ १७ ॥

tasmān nāmnā viṣṇu-rāta iti loke bhaviṣyati
na sandeho mahā-bhāga mahā-bhāgavato mahān
na sandeho mahā-bhāga mahā-bhāgavato mahān
Synonyms
tasmāt — therefore; bhaviṣyati — he will be [known]; loke — in this world; nāmnā — by the name; viṣṇu-rātaḥ iti — Viṣṇurāta [“he who was given (rātaḥ) by Viṣṇu”]; mahā-bhāga — he will possess great fame [bṛhac chravā vipula-kīrtiś ca bhaviṣyati45]; mahān — will be endowed with exalted qualities [guṇaiś ca mahān bhaviṣyati]; mahā-bhāgavataḥ — [and] will be a superlative devotee [parama vaiṣṇavo bhaviṣyati]; na sandehaḥ — of this, there is no doubt [nātra sandehaḥ46].
Translation
Therefore, he will be known in this world by the name Viṣṇurāta [“he who was given by Viṣṇu”]. He will possess great fame, will be endowed with exalted qualities, and will be a superlative devotee. Of this, there is no doubt.
