munayaḥ — O sages; aham — I; pṛṣṭaḥ — have been questioned; bhavadbhiḥ — by you; sādhu — in a highly significant manner [sādhu yathā bhavati tathāhaṁ pṛṣṭaḥ12]; maṅgalam — beneficial; loka — [for] the entire world; yat — because [yataḥ]; sampraśnaḥ — thorough inquiry [samyak praśnaḥ13]; kṛṣṇa — [about] Śrī Kṛṣṇa [kṛṣṇa-viṣayaḥ]; kṛtaḥ — [as] conducted [by you]; yena — [is itself that] by which; ātmā — the self; suprasīdati — is completely fulfilled [meaning that it is established by Sūta’s direct experience that the self is immediately fulfilled simply by an inquiry about Śrī Kṛṣṇa alone (yena praśnenaiva ātmā prasīdatīti śrī kṛṣṇasyaiva sadya ātma-prasādakatvam asmad-anubhava-siddham iti bhāvaḥ)14].

Translation

O sages, you have questioned me in a highly significant manner, beneficial for the entire world, because thorough inquiry about Śrī Kṛṣṇa, as conducted by you, is itself that by which the self is completely fulfilled.
