SB 1.17.45

इत्थम्भूतानुभावोऽयमभिमन्युसुतो नृपः ।
यस्य पालयतः क्षौणीं यूयं सत्राय दीक्षिताः ॥ ४५ ॥
ittham-bhūtānubhāvo’yam abhimanyu-suto nṛpaḥ
yasya pālayataḥ kṣauṇīṁ yūyaṁ satrāya dīkṣitāḥ

Synonyms

ittham-bhūta — such indeed; anubhāvaḥ — [is] the influence; ayam — [of] this; nṛpaḥ — king [Parīkṣit, meaning that his influence, by way of having subdued Kali and other similar deeds, is such that although deceased, he lives on (mṛto’pi jīvan tiṣṭhatītītham-bhūtānubhāvaḥ kali-nigrahādi dvārā)270]; abhimanyu-sutaḥ — the son of Abhimanyu [implying Parīkṣit’s formidable heroism (mahā-śūratvam uktam)271]; yasya — [under] whose; pālayataḥ — continuing guardianship [pālitavataḥ272]; kṣauṇīm — [of] the earth [pṛthvīm273]; yūyam — you; dīkṣitāḥ — have been initiated [(dīkṣāṁ kṛtavantaḥ);274 or engaged (pravṛttāḥ)275]; satrāya — in this sacrificial undertaking [satraṁ kartum276]; [otherwise, if the earth were overcome by Kali, this sacrifice could not go on (anyathā kalinābhibhūtaṁ satram idaṁ na pravartetety arthaḥ)277].

Translation

Such indeed is the influence of this king [Parīkṣit], the son of Abhimanyu, under whose continuing guardianship of the earth, you have been initiated in this sacrificial undertaking.
