SB 1.16.24

इदं ममाचक्ष्व तवाधिमूलं वसुन्धरे येन विकर्शितासि ।
कालेन वा ते बलिनां बलीयसा सुरार्चितं किं हृतमम्ब सौभगम् ॥ २४ ॥
idaṁ mamācakṣva tavādhi-mūlaṁ
vasundhare yena vikarśitāsi
kālena vā te balināṁ balīyasā
surārcitaṁ kiṁ hṛtam amba saubhagam

Synonyms

vasundhare — O reservoir of all prosperity; ācakṣva — please disclose [ākhyāhi99]; mama — to me [mahyam]; idam — this; tava ādhimūlam — root cause of your anguish [or mental pain (tavādher manaḥ-pīḍāyā mūlaṁ kāraṇam)100]; yena — as a consequence of which; [you (tvam)]; vikarśitā asi — have become evidently emaciated [viśeṣeṇa kṛśīkṛtāsi101]; amba — O Mother; kim — has; te — your; saubhagam — great fortune; sura-arcitam — which is revered even by the devas [surair api bahu-mantavyam]; vā — otherwise; hṛtam — been stolen away [apahṛtam]; kālena — by time; balīyasā — the mightiest; balinām — of the mighty.

Translation

O reservoir of all prosperity, please disclose to me the root cause of your anguish, as a consequence of which you have become evidently emaciated. O Mother, has your great fortune, which is revered even by the devas, otherwise been stolen away by time, the mightiest of the mighty?
