SB 1.11.37

तमयं मन्यते लोको ह्यसङ्गमपि सङ्गिनम् ।
आत्मौपम्येन मनुजं व्यापृण्वानं यतोऽबुधः ॥ ३७ ॥
tam ayaṁ manyate loko hy asaṅgam api saṅginam
ātmaupamyena manujaṁ vyāpṛṇvānaṁ yato’budhaḥ

Synonyms

api — although; asaṅgam hi — He is certainly without attachment [in regard to the material guṇas (prākṛta-guṇeṣv anāsaktam api)124]; ayam lokaḥ — common people [sādhāraṇo lokaḥ]; yataḥ — because of; abudhaḥ — their being ignorant [of reality (atattva-jñaḥ);125 or unable to distinguish the real from the unreal (sad-asad-vivecana-śūnyaḥ), in this case meaning unable to distinguish prema from worldly object-attachment (viṣayāsakti)126]; manyate — consider; tam — Him [Śrī Kṛṣṇa]; saṅginam — [as] an attached; manujam — human being; vyāpṛṇvānam — engaged in worldly desire-based actions [(kāmādi-vyāpāra-yuktam); because they observe, for example, that simply out of attachment for Satyabhāmā, He went to great lengths to procure a pārijāta tree from heaven127]; ātma-aupamyena — just like themselves [sva-sādṛṣyeṇa128].

Translation

Although He is certainly without attachment, common people, due to ignorance, consider Him as an attached human being, engaged in worldly desire-based actions, just like themselves.
